Privacy Statement

This survey is sponsored by the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).  The survey is being administered for OSPE by Prism Economics and Analysis. The survey is part of a broader research study into the effects of working from home on engineering professionals.  Through this research, OSPE will identify best practices that address career challenges arising from the working from home trend.

The research project of which this survey is a part is financially supported by the Future Skills Centre.  The Future Skills Centre is a federally-supported initiative jointly managed by Ryerson University, the the Conference Board of Canada, and Blueprint. You can find additional information on the Future Skills Centre at: https://fsc-ccf.ca/

Participation in this survey is completely voluntary.  The survey will ask questions about your experience working at home, your perceptions of the impact of working at home and general questions about your background to better understand how working from home affected different types of engineering professionals.  If you choose to participate in the survey, you may decline to answer any of the questions.

No information that would personally identify you will be collected.

The survey results will be reported in a manner that prevents readers from identifying individual respondents or their employer.   The reports developed from this survey will be available in a publicly accessible format on the OSPE website.

As there are no personally identifying variables in the survey, there are no risks to you or to your employer from participating in this survey.  Because there are no personally identifying variables in the survey, once a response is submitted, it cannot be retrieved.

Neither OSPE nor Prism Economics and Analysis is aware of any actual or potential conflicts of interest.

Survey data will be securely stored on a Canadian-based, physical server accessible only to Prism Economics and Analysis.  The survey results will be securely stored on this server for three years following release of the final report on the research project.  After this period, the survey data will be permanently deleted. An anonymized set of the survey data will also be shared with the Future Skills Centre.

For more information on this survey or the research project, please contact: Lee Weissling, Senior Research Officer at OSPE:  lweissling@ospe.on.ca.
